A New Concept

Long time no blogging...
Anyway,

I have a new idea for pixmap gtk theming, which I believe wasn't tried before, as far as I remember. Here's the deal:
Use a tileable texture for any widget you like, then put an overlay image with proper masking. First idea which came to my mind was carbon fiber textured buttons with a glossy look, here's the result.

Rock'n Roll

I like rocks, they look beautiful especially when they pose with some plants. Unfortunately, I'm not a talented photographer enough to reflect that.

Gutsy update...

I updated my laptop from feisty to gutsy. Everything seems fine except pixmap gtk engine doesn't render svg images which I use in my gtk themes.. I have no idea if this is a bug or a feature. Workaround: I converted svg images of Cillop series to png, it worked then. No visible changes in performance, just a little bit more diskspace usage :)

Candyman aka Chewy Update

Candyman (Chewy ?) gtk theme is still under heavy construction, but almost ready. Like Cillop and Polycarbonate, it uses pixmap and clearlooks engines. Here's a screenshot from "cool" version.

"Candyman"

After Cillop and Polycarbonate, I guess I'll be tinkering with a new concept pixmap gtk theme which I currently call "Candyman". I intent to release with 2 different (1 warm + 1 cool) color schemes.

And it's far from being complete. Let's say, 5.00% ...
